Pre-engineered inground steel swimming pools
Albatross Pools specialise in MPBAA (Master Pool Builders Association, formerly SPASA Victoria) award winning pre-engineered inground swimming pools across Melbourne and Victoria.
Quite different to concrete pools and fibreglass pools, the Albatross pool design is a pre-engineered steel pool structure tailored to the client’s specifications, which is assembled and installed on site. A sanitised commercial grade Aqualux waterproof membrane is then vacuum-sealed into the inground pool shell resulting in a durable satin smooth pool interior.
The pre-engineered inground swimming pool concept was developed in North America as an alternate option to concrete pools, as the freezing ground conditions and ground movement were ravaging the concrete construction. Although freezing conditions are rarely a problem in Australia, Melbourne and many areas of Victoria still experience continuous ground movement and soil volatility especially over the last few years as the drought has subsided.
From clay to sand, Albatross inground swimming pools can be installed in all ground conditions without the possibility of the pool shell warping, cracking or lifting out of the ground, which can be common with other construction methods of inground pools. Albatross inground pools are also suitable for elevated pool construction projects, meaning an Albatross pool can be partially out of the ground making this form of inground swimming pool construction ideal for sloping blocks - all backed by a 10-year structural warranty and a 10-year interior warranty.
This inground pools concept is an economical construction method that can be custom built to almost any shape, size or depth, offering complete flexibility in swimming pool design, as you will see in the inground pools gallery.
