Plunge Pool Design

Set on a corner block in Essendon, this Hamptons inspired newly built residence features an elevated plunge pool custom designed to suit the outdoor courtyard space and desired family lifestyle.

Built in unison with the construction of the residence, this rectangular plunge pool is positioned 0.9m above the natural fall of the property. Featuring additional engineering due to the elevated nature of the project, the pool's structural bracing system was custom fabricated to work around the complex piering layout supporting both the surrounding elevated alfresco area and residence.

Compact in nature, this rectangular designed plunge pool spans 6.0m in length and 3.0m in width. The sandstone tones of the textured stone like pool interior creates a turquoise watercolor complimenting the Hamptons inspired outdoor entertaining space. Surrounded by natural stone tiles, the grey fittings located inside the swimming pool connect with the tones and matt finish of the safety barrier spigots and frameless glass.

Whilst the swimming pool and surrounding courtyard space create an effortless and calming experience for the entire family to enjoy, it has been a very different story under the surface. Through complete customisation at every point in the project journey including working within the limitations of the small courtyard space, the desired function, finish and style has been achieved without compromise. The result, a timeless space to admire from all entertaining areas of the home and a source of family fun for many years to come both in and out of the Hamptons inspired plunge pool in Essendon.
