Award Winning Rectangular Pool and Spa Design

Positioned at the highest point on the property in Eltham North, this rectangle pool design features an integrated spa positioned alongside an oversized wading area in the shallows. The perfect combination for a young family!

Previously, the clients would step out from the house and were faced with a generous steep climb up to the back of the property. The incline was so significant, the backyard could not provide a safe area to enjoy. After seeing the Nunawading Pool and Spa Project, the clients were inspired to create an entertaining space to enjoy now and for many years to come.

The rectangular pool design measures 10m in length and 4.5m in width, with a custom pool floor profile ranging from 1.1m in the shallows through to 1.8m at the deepest point. The large wading area alongside the spa is 540mm in depth – an ideal place to submerge and relax, socialise with friends or even provide a safe space for little ones to gain confidence in the water. There is an additional bench seat at the far end of the pool providing an additional entry point at the deep end of the pool.

Set inside the rectangular pool design, the integrated spa features a u-shaped bench seat and a top step for ease of entry. Complete with spa jets and a blower (controlled by a remote air switch), the spa is set at the same level as the pool creating a clear line of sight to the deep end from the tilted gazebo. Although flush with the pool, the spa can be isolated allowing the client to achieve 38 degrees in the cooler months – the place to be on a winters evening with steam rising from the water.

The 48 x 48 tile featured throughout the spa compliments the ever-popular Bahama pvc membrane. The rich blue tones work together to create an aesthetically appealing contrast with the surrounding bluestone tiles and remaining grey and timber tones and textures throughout the pool zone.

What was an unused and unsafe space, now provides year round entertainment for the entire family both now and for many years to come!
