From swimming pool manufacturing through to pool water treatment, the Van Der Haar family has been heavily involved in every facet of the swimming pool industry in Melbourne since 1959. It was with this extensive background of experience that Albatross Pools was established 1969.  Starting off with a display swimming pool in the backyard of the family home in Melbourne, the company has since evolved into Australia's leading edge innovator and builder of pre-engineered award winning in ground pools.

Celebrating 50 years, boasting a roll call of 16,000 plus happy clients, Albatross Pools still to this day is owned and operated by the Van Der Haar family who continue to abide by the cornerstone principles developed at the company's inception.

Before, during and after your swimming pool is built.  The ultimate company judgment comes from the customer.  We are both proud and grateful to our customer base most of which supply us with approximately 70% of our sales through their referrals.  We are equally as proud of our own people, most of whom have been with Albatross Pools for well over 10 years, some over 20 years!  These important people provide a wealth of knowledge and experience to support all of our swimming pool clients.

Value for money

Whilst we have an obligation not only to our staff and suppliers, we also have an obligation to our customers to be there for them in the future.  We also understand that greed does not promote growth so we aim to not necessarily be the cheapest but to provide the best value for money in the swimming pool industry.

These principles are simple yet remain as relevant today as they were all those years ago.
